Drum Roll Please....da dada dada da da da.....
This photo shows proof that my very LAST student loan payment went into the out-going mail slot yesterday! We are so excited to be finished paying for my schooling!! (unfortunately, we still have Erik's student loan, but we won't focus on that now) It is such a relief to have the debt out of our lives!! Yippee!!

Fun Filled Weekend
We had a great weekend! It started off Friday night with dinner at Buca di Beppo with tons of friends...including Steph, who came home for the weekend! We had tons of food (thank you Tim and Bobby for your ordering efforts!) and then Bobby shared his Valentine's candy stash! Unfortunately, I was exhausted after a crazy day at work and Erik had homework, so we couldn't hang out with everyone after dinner.
On Sunday we got to see John Perkins speak again!! We went to Calvary Baptist Church in Mpls. after hitting Caribou with one of my all-grown-up-youth-group-kids, Steph! It was so fun to catch up with her. She's a senior in college already and that pretty much makes me feel old! She had been down to the Perkins Foundation twice and wanted to see JP too! The Lundbergs met us there and we were able to have lunch with them afterwards as well. It was a great morning to catch up with friends!
Sunday was also Erik's sister, Amy's Birthday! However, I had to work that afternoon and Erik was still working on homework (the whole MBA thing is fantastic!). So, we celebrated with cake on Monday night.
Bobby and Bonnie enjoying some Fun Dip from the candy stash! On Valentine's Day (Sat), I slept in as Erik did more homework! Then we went out for coffee to celebrate Valentine's Day. After coffee we got to meet Erik's cousin's new daughter, Sophia! She's a little peanut!! Mom and baby are doing great! For Valentine's evening, Erik and I made dinner together with all our Costco ingredients and watched a movie. It was a nice evening at home.

Yea John Perkins!!
It was so fun to see JP this week!! It has been at least three years since we have seen him and even longer since we have been to the John Perkins Foundation in Jackson, MS.
I got to see JP speak at chapel on Monday here at Bethel and then have lunch with him as well. He remembered me the minute he saw me and gave me a big hug. What an honor! I have so much respect for JP and his ministry. I feel blessed just to know him and having worked along side him. It is even better that he remembers me and Erik!
Erik and I both got to see JP again last night at New Hope Church. It was a great gathering -intense, but great! We also saw Jon and Aimee and got to meet their son, Gabe!! We might see them all again on Sunday morning too!**Erik and I have a special place in our hearts for the John Perkins Foundation. It is pretty much the place that our relationship began! We were there on a missions trip during the summer of 2003! Wow, that seems like a long time ago.

Birthday Boys!
We have been celebrating Erik's Birthday for a while (more photos to come), but last night we were finally able to get together to celebrate Brad and Brian's Birthdays as well. Their three Birthdays are all within five days --the last week of January. We realized yesterday, that with everyone's schedules, if we had not gotten together last night, it probably would have been March before we could celebrate!
We had friends over last night for pizza and pop. Sara also brought brownies that we used as the Birthday 'cake!' It was great to catch up with everyone. It was relaxed and a great time to celebrate!

1st Goal Ever!! x2
Go Topes!!
We had our last regular season broomball game on Sunday and BOTH Erik and I scored our first broomball goals ever! :) I had a very nice set up from Corey and was able to tap it in from the side of the goal. Erik had a solo goal that he was very excited about! All and all it was a fun day. The other team had to forfeit but we still played for fun. We had such great weather, our whole team was there (not all pictured), and we had a lot of fans as well!Finals start next week...we'll see how that goes.
