Merry Christmas Everyone!

So, we had a pretty good Christmas. We celebrated with Erik's extended family (dad's side) on Sat the 22nd and then his mom's side on Christmas Eve. We had a great time at both parties with family. We managed to score a $1 coffee mug from the gift exchange on Sat. On Christmas Eve we made lefse and had a great meal. Then we opened gifts. Erik's parents are helping us get ready for our trip to Italy this March with money for luggage. We are very excited about it!

On Christmas day we went down to Owatonna for Christmas with my family. We had a nice brunch. We opened Santa gifts and family gifts. There were so many gifts to open, it was crazy!! Kya was literally covered in gifts! Unfortunately, our trip was made short because the Holiday Inn water park we were going to go to was closed because the water heater was out! That was kind of a bummer. However, it was good that we got to cancel our reservation with no charge because during the gift opening at my parents house our camera got dropped --Erik doesn't want me to say who dropped it, so I won't :) We don't know how bad the damage on our wallets will be yet. We're hoping not too bad!! And we hope that we will get the camera back before our trip to Italy in March!!

We hope you all had a wonderful holiday! And have a fantastic new year! We will most likely be spending new year's eve and new year's day at Erik's family cabin. Maybe we'll even go snowmobiling!

So...sorry again, we will be without photos for a while.

So, I'm no longer in my 20's

I still have not decided how I feel about that! But everyone has been wonderful in celebrating my Birthday! Erik surprised me with "Flowers for my Birthday Week" on Monday at work. It was very sweet! He got gerbera daisies (my favorite -with tulips being 2nd favorite). They have been sitting on my desk all week. Now there is only one left...the orange one (my favorite again). :)
On Tuesday my co-workers celebrated the December Birthdays with a chocolate fountain! That was very yummy!

Wednesday night we had a bunch of my friends over for Italian food (pizza and lasagna) at our apartment. We had a nice time. Pretty low-key, but very nice to be with friends. Not everyone was able to make it, but that is very understandable. It is a very busy time of year! Thanks for celebrating with me.

Last night Erik and I went to Uptown Famous Dave's with his parents, his sister, Amy, and her boyfriend, Nick. We watched a great cover band and ate some appetizers. Amy was very proud to be the very first to say Happy Birthday to me on my actual Birthday as the clock struck 12! She was actually the first to verbally say "Happy Birthday" and the first to text a Birthday greeting as well (even though she was sitting right next to me) :)

This morning I have already received many Birthday greetings from Erik, friends and co-workers! And I got my free Caribou Birthday drink this morning as well!! Yippee!
Tonight there will be more celebrating with friends! I'm looking forward to it!

Thank you everyone for making my 30th Birthday a great day (or should I say week)!!

Molin Co. Christmas Party

We went to the Molin Concrete Christmas Party at Majestic Oaks Country Club in Blaine. A good time was had by all!

Tree is Up!

The tree is up! We are officially in Christmas Mode! Mindy is proud to say that all the gifts were bought and wrapped by December 8th- possibly a new record!

Swede Hollow Cafe

Mindy and I recently went for breakfast at the Swede Hollow Cafe in Saint Paul. Great food and coffee at a nice price. Very cute little place with a great atmosphere!

Birthdays

We Celebrated Bobby's Birthday last Friday with a wonderful dinner at Buca Di Beppo! I was so full, I almost felt sick! Many friends got together to celebrate with him. (sorry we don't have any pictures from that occasion) After dinner we went back to Bobby and Sara's house to play some Wii. Steph and I made a good team for the Brain Game!!

On Sunday and Monday we celebrated Carol's Birthday. We celebrated on Sunday to throw her off...we didn't want her to expect her surprise dinner on Monday. We all met her and Bill at The Cheesecake Factory on Monday -her actual Birthday. It was fun to have the "old gang" back together. We were all church youth group leaders together back in the day.

Carol's Birthday Biscuits on Sunday Morning :)
