One Year Anniversary!!

We went to Red Wing this weekend to celebrate our
first anniversary!

It's hard to believe it's already been a full year since I walked down the aisle to my groom, with my beautiful flowers, surrounded by friends and family! To celebrate our first year of marriage we drove down to Red Wing on Sunday afternoon. But first we watched our wedding video and slide show that Carly, made for us. It was wonderful...thanks Carly and Shane (for the video)!!

We had a great time! We stayed over Sunday night then walked around Red Wing and all the shops on Monday.

Then, on the way home, we stopped at Pine Tree Apple Orchard. The weather was amazing both Sunday and Monday!! It was a wonderful celebration for us!

80's/Retro Prom!!

Saturday night we went to Mari & Ben's house (a.k.a. High School Prom)! It was a surprise Birthday Party for Mari! Nice work everyone on pulling it off! We got out the blue eye-shadow and pink shirts. Sadly, you cannot see the giant "butt-bow" on my dress that was made of upholstery fabric and was once a bridesmaid dress worn by Carol. It was a great time. Erik was very proud of the 80's music mix he created for the party. We had a lot of fun and it looked like the Birthday Girl did too!

Door County Fun!

Last week I (Erik) went to Door County, Wisconsin with my buddies for "Fall Fest" (Mindy stayed home and shopped!). Its a big party where the tourist season is officially closed down on the northern peninsula. I had a great time hanging out with Jake, Greg, Mike, Eric, and Aaron.

Comp Day

So, it's been a while...that's because when you work in an Admissions Office for a college, fall is a very busy time of year!! There has been a lot going on at Bethel --a few events, college fairs and talking with many visiting students. Yesterday I got to take a comp day and I really enjoyed it! I slept in and then went to hang out with my friend Carol and her two kids for the day. Bill had conferences and didn't get home until after 9pm. So, Carol and I spent the day together. We went shopping and hung out at their house.

We finally got Baby Kayla asleep right when Caidron woke up from his nap!

Yucky!

This from a while back (probably at least a month ago), but Erik wanted to show you all! He's very proud of the fact that he ate this... (there is actually a video as well --you'll have to ask Erik for it) This is a fish egg sushi roll! Yep, those big red circles are fish eggs. I think it's just nasty myself...but Erik, Bobby and Tony went out for all-you-can-eat-sushi a few weeks ago and this (apparently) became one of the prize sushi rolls. And my dear husband decided to take the challenge and ate it! Yucky!!

This nice woman became "Grandma Sushi" to the guys...I'm not sure if she was making the sushi or what.

Anyway, I just thought I would share their adventures with you all!!
(personally, I'm glad I wasn't there)

In other news, we had a great time at Bonnie & Tim's wedding on Saturday! Tim was very sweet and surprised Bonnie (and everyone else) with a song for his bride at the end of the ceremony.
