Happy Birthday Grandpa Johnny! (and Claire)

Monday was Grandpa Johnny's 89th Birthday! We celebrated with his favorite meal (pot roast) and cake on Sunday night with Erik's family.

This is Grandpa Johnny, Laura (Erik's cousin-in-law) & her daughter, Sophia (our god-daughter)!Monday was also the day that our friends, Sara & Bob had their baby girl! Claire Josie Mae! She's so cute!

This probably doesn't seem like a huge deal...but for me it is a huge accomplishment. We've cleaned out this closet and KEPT it clean for over a month (which we have not been able to do for the two and a half years we've lived here so far)!! Most of you have never seen it because it's usually full of boxes and junk --and we kept the door closed.

Last weekend (April 4th) Erik and I were so honored! Erik's cousins, Tim and Laura, asked us to be their daughter, Sophia's godparents! I about cried! It is such an honor and completely unexpected! We hope to be able to fulfill that role for Little Miss Sophia as she grows into a woman of God. She is such a little doll; it is such a blessing to be asked to be a part of her life. We are excited to be at her baptism at the end of May.
