Another Birthday Gift??

Well, not really a Birthday gift, but Erik and I got to meet little Gracie on Erik's Birthday. The Molin's brought her home on Saturday. She's already getting used to the house and loves all the new toys she got! They have been losing some sleep though...the puppy has a lot of energy and doesn't understand bedtime yet!

Randy and Sue took us out for dinner on Sunday night (Erik's actual Birthday). Before we left for dinner, we got to meet and play with Gracie. Gracie really likes Erik. She kept on wanting to touch his face. :)

By the time we left, Gracie was all tuckered out!

Broomball 2008

Erik and I have enjoyed playing broomball with friends on the Minneapolis City Rec League these past few years. This year we got jerseys for our team! Molin Concrete and Hot Toppers sponsored our team this year and we were able to buy team jerseys. It's fun to look official and "more intimidating." It also helps that we have some great players on the team and our record is 2-1-1. Sunday's game ended in a tie. The other team should have had to forfeit, but we decided they didn't have to. We tied, but a win would have been more fun! :)

Here is some defensive action by the goal. Bobby is our goalie and that's me down by the ball trying to help. They didn't score, so that's good!

Erik's Birthday Surprise

I'm happy to say that Carly, Erik's sister, Rachel, his mom and myself pulled off a Surprise Golden Birthday Party for Erik on Friday night! I think he had a great time! I know he loved his gifts and of course, the keg of Surly! Many friends and family came to surprise Erik and celebrate with him all evening. We had tons of food (thanks to Sue), music and fun.

Friends and family all chipped in to get Erik an iPod Nano for his Birthday! And his parents got the speakers. He's been playing with it all weekend! :) Thanks to all who contributed!

Good News

We got word from Canon last week. It looks like we might be getting our camera back as early as this Friday! I'm trying not to be too excited because I have known of a few people who have gotten cameras back from being fixed and they still don't work. I really hope that is not the case for this camera though. We shall see.

Erik's New Little "Sister"

Many of you have heard about Gracie... She is the collie puppy that Erik's parents will be adopting. They finally got to see her in person yesterday. Over New Years they were able to pick her out of the litter, but up until yesterday had only seen pictures of her. They let us know...it's official, she's the cutest puppy ever. We can't wait to meet her in a couple of weeks.

New Years Day

We spent New Years at Erik's parents cabin. We went snowmobiling on both Monday and Tuesday. It was beautiful and we had a great time -except that it was much colder on Tuesday!
