It was so fun to see JP this week!! It has been at least three years since we have seen him and even longer since we have been to the John Perkins Foundation in Jackson, MS. I got to see JP speak at chapel on Monday here at Bethel and then have lunch with him as well. He remembered me the minute he saw me and gave me a big hug. What an honor! I have so much respect for JP and his ministry. I feel blessed just to know him and having worked along side him. It is even better that he remembers me and Erik!
Erik and I both got to see JP again last night at New Hope Church. It was a great gathering -intense, but great! We also saw Jon and Aimee and got to meet their son, Gabe!! We might see them all again on Sunday morning too!
**Erik and I have a special place in our hearts for the John Perkins Foundation. It is pretty much the place that our relationship began! We were there on a missions trip during the summer of 2003! Wow, that seems like a long time ago.

I'm so jealous! That's awesome that you got to hear him speak!! I'm glad I can say that I met him in person. Remember when we got there that first time (for me!), we were just following him around as he talked and did yard work.
Yes, I do remember that. It was a fun trip! Remember just driving Jon Lundberg's car around Jackson!?!
